Auto tycoon re-arrested on new charges
Ex-chairman of automaker Nissan Carlos Ghosn is re-arrested on recent charges.
Mr. Ghosn has already spent the previous month in prison. He was accused of misusing funds and hiding $80m worth of income. However, on Thursday a court rejected the prosecution request of expanding his detention. This means he is allowed to request for bail.
Today he has got arrested again on a new charge of breach of trust.
Japanese news media NHK reported that the prosecutors are accusing Mr.Ghosn of compensating a private investment loss of over $16m from Nissan’s money. He was charged with being done during the financial crisis.
The popular automobile tycoon, Mr. Ghosn has not commented anything on the recent allegation.
