Whatsapp rolled out colorful status feature in latest update

Popular social messaging app Whatsapp will introduce a new feature for Android platform. A new update let’s users to add a colorful background to text status instead of image or videos. Whatsapp will be soon rolled out this colorful status feature.

Since last year, the same functionality is available for Facebook users. Reportedly, the brand new feature of Whatsapp status is already available for the beta users and now it is at a testing stage for Android users. Let’s read out brief details about this exciting status feature.

Whatsapp adds colorful status feature in it’s new update

According to a report, the text status version is a part of beta version 2.17.291 of Whatsapp. The report further revealed that the new status feature will be first available to those who have enrolled for the official play store beta program of Whatsapp. So, the beta users can use this feature before it officially available for general public.

You might be pondering upon how this newer status feature works?  Reportedly, the messaging platform will include a new floating pencil button. It will be available above the camera icon on the status tab. To put out a colored status users’ needs to tap on the ‘pencil’ icon. Then they will be able to write and upload their status.

  The feature will bring three options such as add emojis, select font and change background color. Once text status is created, users can upload it by clicking on the green arrow icon. This icon present at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

It is said that the new feature will first appear on Android devices. And will be eventually available for iOs platform.

The messaging application is further planning to bring a few more features on board in coming days. As per the news, Whatsapp is currently working on a recall feature and integrating payment system.
