World’s biggest lithium-ion battery has been installed by one of the leading company Tesla and it is expected to be switched on in prior days.

In South Australia a 100-megawatt battery has been designed in addition to the lithium battery to take care of the electricity grid of the state.

The battery is said to be competent enough to provide power to 30,000 homes for about 60mins.

Within 100 days of signing a contract for the project, the installation of the battery would be free of cost if it was not installed, said Elon Musk Tesla's chief executive.

For the installation of the battery array, it is expected that the company will be able to meet the deadline of 1st December.

According to the reports of Nikkei Asian Review, Samsung battery cells were used by Tesla.

The battery will be put through an install testing phase before the use and it will be providing "system security services" once it is on.
